Wines
Charleston
2001 Charleston
A mixture of Italian varieties Sangiovese and Nebbiolo were picked at relatively low alcohol levels to preserve fresh fruit and acidity necessary for the production of a good rosé style wine. The strawberry and raspberry fruit flavours with hints of cherry have the structural tannins and characteristic of Nebbiolo to produce a wine well suited to Mediterranean style dishes. Over chilling will dull the subtle fruit flavours.
